Admission procedure for Distance Education Courses in Annamalai University is as follows:

Spot admission: Annamalai University provides Spot Admission facility to those candidates who live around any Study Centers mentioned in prospectus "Annexure-I." choice in any programme are going to be created by the Study Center. All spot admissions should be confirmed by the Director or are going to be off if found not eligible.
For obtaining Spot admission, the candidates should submit and fasten these documents with the appliance type in person to any study center or contact of DDE, Annamalai University:
- Filled in form at the side of authenticated xerox/photostat copies of Certificates of eligibility, age, and qualifications.
- Attested passport size photograph ought to be posted on the appliance type.
- Qualification and Transfer/ Migration Certificates in original.
- 2 Passport size pictures while not a signature to be glued on Scanning type and positive identification.
- A Demand Draft (D.D) after all Fee drawn in favor of “The Director, D.D.E., Annamalai University.”
- Original documents are going to come back when verification.
- Admission through Post: if person doesn't live around the university mentioned in Annexure-I he/she will send punctually filled-in application to “The Director, Board of Distance Education, Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar – 608 002” on the side of authenticated Xerox copies of
- Certificates for the eligibility and qualifications,
- certificate of Transfer/ Migration and
- 2 passport size pictures.
- Students who wish to require admission through post should not enclose original certificates and demand draft with the appliance.
- On receipt of those documents University can provide a provisional admission card to the scholar, then the student has got to verify his/her original certificates either by mail or Speed post or manufacture nose to nose and people certificates are:
- Educational qualifications certificates
- Migration/Transfer Certificate and, a requirement Draft after all Fee drawn in favor of The Director, D.D.E., Annamalai University.
- If the documents/certificates submitted by student found pretend, his/her admission is going to be off and also the course fee also will be confiscated.
